Addison Whitney® creates WelvistaSM name for CommuniCare
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, October 3, 2008- CommuniCare, a non-profit healthcare network based in Columbia, South Carolina, recently engaged Addison Whitney to develop a new corporate identity after announcing plans to expand the organization nationally. Addison Whitney created the name Welvista for CommuniCare. The name change was announced on October 1st 2008.
Welvista provides mail order medications to the uninsured made possible by donations from 12 of the top pharmaceutical companies. Provided at no cost, patients have access to over 160 medications indicated for treating chronic diseases. Welvista also provides oral healthcare and education to children from limited income families in South Carolina through the Smiles for a Lifetime program.
Addison Whitney developed the name Welvista to reflect the vitality and growth of the organization. Combining the concepts of wellness and vista, the name positively suggests an opportunity for patients to live healthier lives. The name also fits well with the organization’s existing logo featuring the icon of a rising sun.
“We believe our new name, Welvista, echoes growth and advancements we have made and affirms our commitment to providing the highest level of access to healthcare. Welvista better reflects our vision of helping people live healthier, more productive lives,” said Ken Trogdon, CEO of Welvista.
